Introduction

In this present study, the researcher aims to investigate the translation of passive voice from English into Thai in two of the most well-known works of children's literature, Charlotte's Web and Peter Pan, and the main objective of this research was to see whether and how the translators translate the passive voice in the target language from the source text and to answer the research questions.

Brooks (2017) stated that literary translation is the translation of literary works such as poetry, prose, theater, and nonfiction. Literary translation is fundamentally different from any other category and is frequently regarded as the highest kind of translation because it requires more effort than simply conveying the meaning and context of a document in the source language into the target language. Furthermore, literary translation serves aesthetic purposes by incorporating appropriate cultural nuances, translating humor, moods, emotions, and other subtle characteristics of a specific work.
